Policies & Procedures

Academic Integrity Issues - managed through the University College Office of the Dean, in compliance to the  Student Academic Integrity Policy.  To report a student for an academic integrity violation incident please refer to following link:  https://access.ewu.edu/university-college/student-academic-integrity.

Academic Probation, Dismissal and Reinstatement of Undergraduate Student - are managed by various administrators, in compliance to the Academic Probation, Dismissal and Reinstatement Policy.  To apply for academic reinstatement to EWU please refer to the Academic Reinstatement Policy, Petition  and Instructions.

Academic Program Complaints - are handled according to the student's academic program (please refer below).

  • Accredited Programs have Student Handbooks, which identifies the complaint process;
  • Non-accredited Programs are first directed to the appropriate Department Chair, College Dean, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs;

Bullying Complaints - dealt with through the  Bullying Prevention and Response Policy (EWU Policy 901-04)  - (Dean of Students or Immediate Supervisor or Human Resources, Rights and Risk as appropriate)

Disability Services Student Rights - are provided through Office of Disability Services found at http://access.ewu.edu/disability-support-services/srr (Director of Disability Services); 

Discrimination - Dealt with through the Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Misconduct, Domestic Violence, Relationship Violence, Stalking, and Retaliation Policy (EWU 402-01) (Title IX Coordinator, ADA Coordinator and/or the Director of Equal Opportunity(EO)or Dean of Students);

Grade Appeals - are submitted by studnet to their appropriate Department Chair, according to the Grade Appeal Policy and Procedures (EWU 303-24);

Sexual Harassment - Dealt with through the Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Misconduct, Domestic Violence, Relationship Violence, Stalking, and Retaliation Policy (EWU 402-01) (Title IX Coordinator, and/or the Director of Equal Opportunity(EO) or Dean of Students);

Student Complaints against Faculty - are first directed to the appropriate Department Chair, College Dean, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
